Welcome to Ankeny Gospel Church!

We gather together as one body every week to experience the presence of Jesus. Every Sunday, we worship God through prayer, music, Scripture reading, the preaching of the Word, and the celebration of communion. All are welcome to attend so come as you are, grab a cup of coffee, and join us as we seek God together!

Our service times and details are below to help you plan your visit.

Sunday School

9:00 - 9:45 AM

We offer Sunday School classes at 9AM for an active learning environment to explore different topics in biblical theology and books of the Bible! Our goal is to become more like Christ, transformed by the renewal of our minds by making the Bible and theology accessible to everyone.

Kids Ministry, nursery-5th grade, is available during this time! Anyone 6th grade and older is invited to join these classes and learn together. For more info, visit our Kids page.

Fellowship

9:45 - 10:15 AM

In between our Sunday School and Worship Service, we have a time of fellowship where you can meet other members of our church, ask questions of our staff and volunteers, or visit the Connect Center for more information. You can also help yourself to free coffee, check your kids into the nursery, and find a seat in the sanctuary for the Worship Service!

10:15 - 11:30 AM

Worship Service

Every Sunday our worship service consists of prayer, singing, Scripture reading, the preaching of the Word, and the celebration of communion. Our desire is to seek the presence of God together, be formed into the image of Jesus, and be compelled to live on mission for the renewal of our city.

During the worship service we offer a nursery for newborns to preschool. We’re excited for our children, 5 yrs and older, to worship together with our church body. Our prayer is that attending the worship service helps them see their friends and parents seek the presence of God and worship Jesus.

  • If it is your first time visiting us, we are excited to meet you! The main entrance is in the back of the building facing the parking lot, and there will be a greeter at the door to welcome you. Once inside, you can help yourself to a cup of coffee or stop at the Connect Center to get more information and fill out a Connect Card (also available online here).

  • During Sunday School (9-9:45am) we provide childcare for children from birth to 3 years, and discipleship for children from 4 years to 5th grade.

    During the Worship Service (10:15-11:30am) we provide childcare for children from birth to preschool. We encourage children kindergarten and older to worship together with their families.

  • We encourage our middle school & high school students to attend Sunday School classes and worship together with their families and peers on Sundays. We even have several opportunities for youth to get involved and join a serve team.

    Youth Group meets every week on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm.
