Agape Garden

The Agape Garden is an ecumenical faith garden that welcomes collaboration with other churches, service organizations, and individuals that have a desire to give back to the community through planting, growing, and harvesting food.

The Agape Garden donates between 10-12,000lbs of fresh produce each year to Ankeny Service Center which is then used to feed the hungry and food insecure in Ankeny.

During the growing season at the Agape Garden, volunteers are needed to plant the seeds, maintain the garden, and harvest the produce that will be given to the Ankeny Service Center and then distributed to their clients. All levels of skills are welcome! Kids are welcome to come along with their parents...and we encourage that! There will always be leadership on site, so you will get direction and instructions on what to do.
